Results from our anniversary supercard Battlecade XV

A sold out, turn away crowd jam-packed the Mid-Atlantic Sportatorium in Gibsonville, North Carolina on December 27 for our anniversary super card Battlecade XV. Here’s a full recap of what many are calling the most exciting CWF Mid-Atlantic event of all time!

ETHAN ALEXANDER SHARPE defeated JESSE ADLER in the finals of the 2014 Rising Generation League Tournament to win the RGL Championship.

THE BRUTES defeated SMITH GARRETT & COREY DUNCUM (substituting for CHARLIE WESTON, who missed the event due to illness)

MARCELLUS KING outlasted “THE ASSASSIN” RAY KANDRACK, DONNIE DOLLARS and Coach Gemini’s new “prospect” gymnast TIMMY RETTON to earn the Golden Ticket. With the victory King earns the privilege of sanctioning any match with any stipulations and any opponent he chooses.

Killbilly ARIC ANDREWS announced that with EVAN BANKS absent due to travel issues, he would NOT team with ROB McBRIDE as scheduled. Instead, Andrews denounced the Killbillies tag-team and threw his flannel shirt down, storming out of the arena and leaving McBride in a presumed 3 on 1 handicap match.

ROB “BOOGIE WOOGIE MAN” McBRIDE went it alone against “DANGEROUS E” COREY EDSEL, “SIS” and MICHAEL “THE FURY” McALLISTER until “THE PARTY MANIMAL” ZANE RILEY and a returning AARON BIGGS evened the odds and helped McBride slip past Edsel to win it for his impromptu team.

Former Television Champion “EL JEFE” MANNY GARCIA defeated new champ CHRIS LEA to regain the championship after a questionable accidental (?) low blow.

TREVOR LEE & CHET STERLING of THE AFTERMATH defeated NICK RICHARDS & his new partner “THE ONE MAN RIOT” ZANE DAWSON in a tag-team championship war to win the titles

ANDREW EVERETT updated the live crowd on his recovery progress from a serious knee injury. He broke the news that he’d been invited to participate in a huge annual tournament in Germany this spring that he will hopefully be 100% in time for and that after that his # 1 goal was returning to the Mid-Atlantic Sportatorium ring.

PWI Ultra J Champion ETHAN CASE interrupted Everett and with manager “The” Tommy Thomas by his side challenged all comers for his 1st Annual Ethan Case International Ultra J Invitational. CHASE DAKOTA was the first to accept and the crowd braced for a one-on-one bout until CEDRIC ALEXANDER interrupted to a thunderous ovation, insisting upon a 3-way bout for the championship. Just before the bell sounded, former Ultra J Champ LANCE LUDE returned and the bout officially became a one-fall four way free for all that ultimately saw Case pin Alexander to retain after an incredible bout.

Lude and CWF official Brad Stutts formally announced after the bout that it was Lance’s last night with the organization and as Lude was making his farewell remarks, LEE VALIANT stormed the ring and insisted that it was the injured he’d inflicted to Lude that were forcing him to walk away from the sport. A brawl broke out that saw Valiant once again drive Lude violently into the steel ring post, then attack a Mid-Atlantic Dojo student and referee JOEY HOGAN until the rampage was stopped by a returning MATTY DE NERO who challenged Valiant to an impromptu match. After brawling all over ringside, de Nero was KO’d with the Halliburton brief case containing his trademark power glove just moments before he was set to use it to vanquish Valiant.

ARIK ROYAL defeated “THE 1ST” RIC CONVERSE in a grueling match to determine who is the face of CWF Mid-Atlantic organization heading into 2015 and beyond. After the bout, Royal showed Converse respect and said he would always be the face of this organization but that Converse could trust he was leaving it in good hands with Royal.

BRAD ATTITUDE defeated Mid-Atlantic Champion ROY WILKINS with Coach Gemini and the All Stars in a wild championship bout that was made no disqualification and no count-out by CWF officials to ensure a winner and a loser with “no excuses.” The All Stars, former All Star Ray Kandrack and the returning Amy Love all got involved in a wild title bout that saw handcuffs, boards, chairs and a kendo stick used throughout the brawl.
